Privacy Policy

Overview

Lyris is a music player app for iOS. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. All data generated by your use of Lyris stays on your device or is sent directly to servers you own and control.

Data stored on your device

Lyris stores the following data locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and the iOS Keychain:

SwiftData (local database)

iOS Keychain

This data never leaves your device except to communicate with servers you have explicitly configured. It is protected by iOS sandboxing and, for credentials, by Keychain encryption.

Network communications

Lyris communicates exclusively with servers you configure. We have no visibility into these communications.

Your Navidrome/Subsonic server

Lyris sends API requests to your server to browse your library, stream audio, and submit play counts (scrobbling). Your server is operated by you.

Your Lidarr server

Lyris sends API requests to your Lidarr instance to fetch artist/album metadata and trigger downloads. Your server is operated by you.

ListenBrainz

If you enable scrobbling, Lyris submits track listen events to ListenBrainz (listenbrainz.org) using your personal user token. This is a voluntary, opt-in feature. ListenBrainz's own privacy policy applies to data you submit to their service.

Data we do not collect

Third-party services

The only third-party service Lyris communicates with is ListenBrainz, and only if you explicitly enable scrobbling and provide your token. No other third-party SDKs or services are included in the app.

Children's privacy

Lyris does not knowingly collect data from anyone. As no data is collected, no special provisions for children are required beyond what is stated above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a future version, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify users via the App Store release notes.
